SMTS Field Application Engineer (Semiconductors)

What you will do

• Drive technology demonstrations, design-win acquisition, technical proposals, and customer solution development for China-based customers.
• Act as the single technical interface for customers and coordinate technical sales interactions, customer requirements, and internal expert engagement.
• Identify product and service gaps, provide customer feedback, and collaborate with product marketing, design solutions, and technology development teams.
• Lead mature- and advanced-node tapeout readiness, including export control forms, IP declarations, frame tables, design reviews, and mock tapeouts.
• Coordinate MPW and test chip requirements, tapeout logistics and execution, and post-tapeout activities with Customer Engineering.
• Support silicon functionality verification, product performance, design margin reviews, and resolution of tapeout and design-win obstacles while meeting design-win, tapeout, and MPW goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant semiconductor technology or design experience, including end-to-end experience from concept to silicon validation.
• Strong communication skills, sales aptitude, and strong analytical, technical, presentation, and project management skills.
• Exposure to IC product design and IP.
• Basic competence with design environments, enablement flows, and related tools.
• Understanding of silicon processing and device physics.
• Previous foundry-related experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
