What you will do
- Provide authoritative technical advice and independently solve complex engineering problems across Defence programs.
- Manage configuration control throughout the lifecycle, including baseline establishment, change management, audits, and verification.
- Maintain vehicle technical data packages, configuration records, maintenance histories, and sustainment documentation.
- Use Configuration Management Tools, AMPS, stock control systems, CMT-L, Teamcenter, and ERP systems to maintain accurate asset data.
- Collaborate with engineering, sustainment, logistics, and operational teams to validate vehicle readiness and support Defence requirements.
- Represent in technical conferences and working groups while guiding designers and less-experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Technical trade qualification or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of Defence-related experience in data and configuration management, preferably in Land Systems.
- Knowledge of Defence Configuration Management frameworks, Land Systems policies, and vehicle lifecycle sustainment.
- Experience managing Technical Data Packages, configuration audits, and sustainment records.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Australian citizenship and minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance eligibility are required; compliance with ITAR is also required.
