Configuration Management Engineer (BOM/ERP)

Location: Bangalore, India. Relocation eligible. Travel required up to 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Create, maintain, govern, review, authorize, and release Master BOMs and product structures.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to implement and control engineering changes.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders and evaluate their impact on manufacturing and supply chain operations.
• Generate and maintain Assembly BOMs in SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems.
• Maintain engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and other master engineering documentation.
• Test and validate new or enhanced PDM, ERP, and engineering-system functionality while maintaining data integrity and process compliance.

Requirements

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
• Experience with BOM management and ERP systems, including understanding of EBOM, MBOM, and Master BOM relationships.
• Working knowledge of MRP, work orders or job orders, and assembly shop-floor planning.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience with Teamcenter (TcE) and UG NX.
