Director of Data Science & Analytics

Location: Los Angeles, California; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office per week, Tuesday through Thursday.

Annual compensation: $170,000–$200,000 for the Los Angeles geographic area.

What you will do

• Lead a team delivering insights, analysis, recommendations, predictive data products, and self-service analytical tools.
• Own the data architecture and roadmap, prioritizing and planning the team’s work.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business on performance marketing, customer behavior, and digital product opportunities.
• Apply causal research, explanatory modeling, statistical analysis, and experimental design.
• Deploy predictive models for product recommendations, size predictions, and predicted return rates.
• Scale the data platform and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and approaches.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in business analysis or a quantitative or computing-focused field.
• 7+ years of experience in retail, e-commerce, or a B2C technology company.
• 5+ years of experience with data collection, analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Expertise in R, Python, or another data-science language, plus SQL.
• Strong foundations in statistics and probability, including formal statistical modeling and experimental design.
