Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada; in-office at least 50% of the time monthly, typically three days per week

Salary: $152,000–$190,000 CAD starting base salary, plus equity and additional compensation components.

What you will do

• Lead the technical strategy and systems for the Customer Success Technology engineering team.
• Shape software architecture and technical roadmaps with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Architect and implement frontend, backend, and agentic AI solutions for customer and agent experiences.
• Build workflows for optimized contact handling and back-office automation.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and improve application reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience in a team environment.
• Experience leading engineers and large features in collaboration with Product Management and other partners.
• Hands-on experience across frontend and backend development.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.

Nice to have

• Experience or exposure to AI engineering applications.
