Environmental Health & Safety Consultant (Automotive)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; hybrid/remote from a home office with frequent client visits in Arizona

Salary: $55,000–$70,000 annual base salary, plus estimated $8,000–$10,000 yearly bonus potential and travel allowances.

What you will do

• Establish relationships with client managers, management teams, dealer groups, and state dealer associations.
• Conduct onsite field audits, employee training, and regulatory interactions.
• Prepare compliance documentation, including Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Tier II reporting, OSHA 300 logs, EPA ID numbers, tank permitting, and SPCC Plans.
• Help develop, implement, and monitor accident prevention programs, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate and implement environmental management compliance systems.
• Plan quarterly client visits, maintain strong customer relationships, and submit referrals or sales leads to the Account Executive.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Safety Studies, or a related discipline preferred.
• Three years of Environmental Health & Safety experience preferred.
• Strong relationship-building, leadership, problem-solving, communication, and independent-working skills.
• Ability to speak publicly to audiences of up to 300 people and communicate with senior management and stakeholders.
• Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, Microsoft Outlook, and phone/tablet applications.
• Active driver’s license, required insurance, reliable transportation, and ability to drive between client visits, typically four days per week; overnight travel of approximately 2–3 weeks per quarter is required.
