Sr. Business Manager, National Security Programs (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States. U.S. citizenship or eligible U.S. immigration status is required under export control regulations.

Base pay for Washington applicants: $145,188–$203,263 per year.

hirify.global develops reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems, with this role supporting the In-Space Systems business unit and national security programs.

What you will do

• Support strategic planning, financial oversight, customer engagement, and executive reporting for a portfolio of programs.
• Develop and implement business strategies that support program and portfolio growth.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost management, financial performance, and variance analysis.
• Manage government contracts from proposal development and negotiation through contract closeout, including DoD and other agency contracts.
• Build relationships with government customers and industry partners while ensuring compliance with contracting regulations and company policies.
• Lead and mentor program and business professionals and mitigate portfolio-level risks and opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of business management, program control, or related experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Experience managing the business aspects of large, complex government programs, including DoD programs.
• Strong knowledge of government contracting, including FAR and DFARS regulations, and experience with FFP, CPFF, and T&M contracts.
• Experience in financial analysis, cost management, and budgeting for complex programs.
• Active Top Secret security clearance, ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance, and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience with the National Reconnaissance Office or other national security customers.
• Experience winning new business, growing existing programs, and developing high-performing teams.
• Current TS/SCI clearance.
