What you will do

  • Own reliability and quality activities across vehicle design, planning, manufacturing, and program execution.
  • Standardize drawings and manage design configuration, manufacturing documentation, work instructions, rework, and repair processes.
  • Perform in-process build verification and coordinate travelled work across manufacturing operations.
  • Manage nonconformance processes, as-built verification, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Develop specifications, walk-down checklists, and quality inspection automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Additive, Manufacturing, Test, and Launch teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or another STEM field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing company.
  • Experience working with design engineering, manufacturing, production, and test personnel.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, complex assembly practices, and quality processes and controls.
  • Working knowledge of PLM, MES, ERP, and QMS software, plus proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to solve complex cross-functional problems, establish project objectives, and communicate effectively with technical teams and management.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of FMEA, APQP, SPC, and PPV methodologies.
  • Experience introducing new hardware products into manufacturing, test, and production systems.
  • Familiarity with high-volume inspection and data-driven acceptance methods.
  • Understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 practices in aerospace programs.
  • Experience defining and implementing processes from scratch across diverse teams.
