Quality Engineer - 2nd Shift

What you will do

• Develop and maintain quality management systems, inspection procedures, testing workflows, and compliance processes for ISO 9001 or AS9100.
• Design, fabricate, and implement custom inspection tooling and fixtures for machined parts.
• Program, set up, and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS or similar software for dimensional and geometric inspections.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using precision measurement equipment.
• Document defects and non-conformances, quarantine unacceptable parts, and collaborate with suppliers on corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records, analyze quality trends, and calibrate and troubleshoot inspection equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of quality inspection experience, preferably with machined or metal components in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with inspection tools, technical documents, complex technical drawings, and GD&T standards.
• Experience with CMM programming and operation.
• Knowledge of NCRs, MRBs, root cause analysis, corrective action reports, and quality workflows.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
