Location: Onsite at the Production and Test facility in Briggs, Texas, north of Cedar Park

What you will do

  • Perform dimensional inspections of launch vehicle and spacecraft structures, components, sub-assemblies, tooling, and fixtures using portable laser trackers and articulating-arm CMM systems.
  • Set up equipment, establish coordinate systems, perform part-to-CAD and best-fit alignments, and verify close-tolerance requirements.
  • Inspect flight hardware against drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Develop and execute inspection programs with quality specialists and engineers.
  • Prepare dimensional analysis and inspection reports for engineering and manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Document, quarantine, and investigate non-conforming products while supporting corrective actions and calibration processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on inspection experience in aerospace, military, or manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience operating a Leica, Hexagon, or comparable portable large-volume metrology system.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, GD&T, and quality-control documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree or higher in quality, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience with Inspire, SpatialAnalyzer, PolyWorks, or PC-DMIS.
  • GDTP certification or working knowledge of ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, AS9100, or ISO 9001.
