Quality Inspection Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Hawthorne, California, United States

Salary: $41–$62 per hour, depending on level and qualifications.

What you will do

• Perform hands-on dimensional inspections using mechanical measurement tools.
• Define and execute quality methodologies supporting full product traceability.
• Review designs, drawings, manufacturing methods, and technologies with responsible engineers, manufacturing engineers, and technicians.
• Develop, approve, and execute process inspection controls for critical characteristics.
• Identify and track manufacturing non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with manufacturing and engineering.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and recommend product improvements that reduce defects, risk, and cost.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or responsible engineering roles at fast-paced companies.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tooling, AS9100, and AS9102.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, First Article Inspection, and interpretation of engineering process specifications.
• Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9000, AS9100, AS6500, or NADCAP.
• Experience with statistical controls and methods, including MSA, GR&R, Design of Experiments, or Six Sigma.
• Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export control regulations or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

• Certified Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
• Experience with non-destructive testing.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
