Location: Onsite at the Avionics facility in Leander, Texas, United States

What you will do
- Develop and maintain quality plans and inspection plans for launch vehicle and spacecraft electrical and avionics components.
- Define inspection equipment, training, standard work instructions, and product acceptance processes.
- Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions and quarantine plans.
- Maintain product traceability and pedigree records, including First Article Inspection documentation.
- Lead and support Quality Inspectors while improving inspection workflow, efficiency, and methodologies.
- Perform audits, analyze production quality data, maintain calibration and metrology processes, and execute Lean and cost-of-poor-quality improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, quality, or design engineering; 8+ years is desired.
- Ability to interpret technical information, drawings, specifications, GD&T, and quality-control documentation.
- Experience with aerospace quality, military, or government standards and aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of quality methods including statistical process control, measurement systems analysis, PFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, corrective action, and APQP.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, teamwork, and flexibility regarding workflow and processes.
Nice to have
- Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001.
- IPC certification and familiarity with NASA-STD-8739.4.
- Experience with structures and composites, electrical and avionics systems, and fluids or propulsion.
- Experience working in and maintaining cleanrooms under FS209E or ISO 14644-1.
- ASQ CQE certification.
