What you will do
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned projects and joint ventures.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, financial reporting packages, and management commentary.
- Manage equity-method investments, at-cost investments, non-controlling interests, capital calls, distributions, and ownership changes.
- Review complex project accounting, contract modifications, estimates at completion, and revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Own monthly backlog reporting and validate awards, acquisitions, ending backlog, and joint venture project data.
- Partner with project controls, project management, commercial teams, Chennai project accounting, corporate accounting, and external joint venture partners on forecasting, controls, and financial decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 7+ years of experience in project accounting, joint venture accounting, or construction accounting.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Experience with ASC 321 and ASC 323 investment-related accounting.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and stakeholder-influencing skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Experience in large engineering, EPC, or energy organizations.
