Project Accounting Manager (Project Accounting/Finance): Leading project accounting operations, billing, financial reporting, revenue recognition, and support for client collections with an accent on project financial oversight, compliance, and cross-functional partnership. Focus on analyzing billing forecasts, resolving complex accounting issues, strengthening financial controls, and developing the project accounting team.
Location: Lenexa, Kansas, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be verified.

What you will do
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Project Accounting team.
- Oversee project setup, billing, unbilled hours, client payments, collections support, and billing discrepancy resolution.
- Analyze actual versus forecasted billing and prepare project accounting reports and financial analysis.
- Ensure accurate month-end recording and compliant revenue recognition.
- Resolve complex project accounting issues and support internal and external audits.
- Coach and develop team members, assign workload, and maintain quality control standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive project accounting experience.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems such as Del-Tek, SAP, or Oracle.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional leadership and managing multiple priorities in a complex environment.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
