Shipping & Receiving Technician

Salary: $20.00–$21.00 per hour

What you will do

• Schedule and monitor deliveries and arrange carrier pickups according to purchase orders.
• Receive, unload, inspect, and route incoming freight, mail, and courier packages.
• Verify shipment quantities, quality, purchase orders, and damage or shortage claims.
• Prepare packages, transfer materials between pallets, stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain shipping supplies.
• Track shipments and inventory using computer systems, email, and office software.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, report defective materials, and support site leadership with additional logistics tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three years of related experience or training is preferred.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Thorough understanding of material handling and strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds.
• A valid driver’s license and forklift certification may be required.
