Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site. Second-shift hours are 2:00 pmβ10:30 pm, with possible adjustments of one to two hours.
Salary: $30β$41 per hour plus a 10% shift differential, equity, and benefits.

What you will do
- Operate, monitor, and maintain SPARC tokamak plant systems and supporting equipment from the control room and in the field.
- Troubleshoot cooling water, compressed air, HVAC, cryogenics, liquid nitrogen, and electrical distribution systems.
- Respond to alarms and abnormal operating conditions while following safe operating practices.
- Perform switching, tagging, and Lockout/Tagout activities to support maintenance and commissioning.
- Develop, revise, and optimize operating procedures.
- Support plant-system testing, commissioning, training, and operational-readiness activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and at least five years of operations experience in a complex facility, such as a power plant, oil and gas facility, or LNG facility.
- Experience with low-voltage or complex electrical environments and large cooling-water systems.
- Previous qualification in Lockout/Tagout or a tagging program.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, engineering principles, and facility operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to learn quickly in a changing environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Devens, Massachusetts, occasionally work nights, weekends, or on-call shifts, and perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Nice to have
- Experience in radiological environments or with cryogenic systems.
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering or a related field.
- Human Performance experience and high-voltage electrical systems experience.
