Software Development Engineer in Test (Test Automation)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States — in-office. Travel requirement: up to 10%.

Salary: $85,900–$118,100 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve scalable automated test frameworks for complex machine control software.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support high-confidence deployments.
• Lead solutions for technical testing challenges across distributed services and software applications.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve system observability and testability.
• Perform unit, component, and system-level testing of hardware and software products during development sprints.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering test development.
• Experience automating manual test frameworks and documenting test cases.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle and Automation Testing Life Cycle.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using standard automation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to work in the Dayton, Ohio office.

Nice to have

• Programming experience with Go, Python, or C++.
