Test Engineer, I (Manufacturing Automation)

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the Holtsville, New York office

Salary: $61,040–$91,560 annual base pay, plus a target performance-based cash incentive of 5% of base pay

What you will do

• Develop test software and contribute to hardware design for manufacturing systems used in calibration and functional testing.
• Create and maintain test solutions for specialty printers, mobile computers, laser scanners, and related electronic products.
• Document test solutions, drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Perform measurement validation and acceptance activities using Measurement System Analysis tools, including Cpk and GR&R.
• Support product testing during New Product Introduction and throughout the sustaining lifecycle.
• Develop manufacturing automation projects to improve product quality, line efficiency, and throughput using Lean Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Physics, or a major in Physics.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Working knowledge and some experience with Python scripting, LabVIEW, and C++.
• Basic knowledge of data analytics tools, including Power BI or Looker.
• Technical analysis and problem-solving skills related to manufacturing or the functionality of electronic systems.
• Successful completion of a hirify.global internship.
