What you will do

• Lead and contribute to automated SW testing for complex systems used in surgical procedures.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to software and test engineers.
• Orchestrate test team activities, including delegation and review of test work products.
• Design, develop, test, maintain, document, and validate software testing components and applications.
• Leverage existing test tools and enhance or develop new tools; collaborate with adjacent teams for full system test coverage.
• Create project-specific test strategies and approaches; participate in requirements review, SW design, risk assessment, and test design/execution.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Computer Science or other Engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation and/or test lead roles.
• 5+ years of experience in medical device or other regulated industries.
• U.S. work authorization required at the time of hire and for the duration of employment (unrestricted for roles below Principal; sponsorship may be offered exclusively for Principal-level roles and above).
• Ability to independently determine and develop approaches to solve complex technical problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with GUI, backend integration, reliability, and performance testing; designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, bash, JavaScript, or Perl.
• Knowledge of C/C++ (or other programming languages), Linux OS, and familiarity with UML.
• Experience with Cypress, Jest, Supertest, React testing; and Rest-based architectures and Rabbit MQ.
• Understanding of FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR) and IEC 62304 compliance.
