Weld Examiner (TIG Welding)

Location: San Luis Obispo, California, United States; onsite at the facility. First shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

Compensation: $20–$28 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Visually inspect 100% of completed welds on tubing and components from 1/8-inch to 6-inch diameter.
• Review welds and examination reports against ASME B31.3 or applicable customer specifications using pass/fail criteria.
• Work from drawings, instructions, parts lists, and tube configuration documentation; use SAP to print drawings and parts lists.
• Apply Ultra High Purity processes, proper measuring techniques, tools, and quality standards.
• Upload Weld Examination Reports to shared folders and maintain accurate, consistent documentation.
• Support safe, clean, timely production through 6S responsibilities and collaboration with the manufacturing team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of TIG welding experience with stainless steel.
• 1–2 years of quality assurance experience with process piping.
• Ability to learn operating systems and locate drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds daily and remain standing for extended periods.
• Attention to detail, dependability, flexibility, and willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.
