TL;DR
TIG Welder (Advanced Nuclear Manufacturing): Fabricating, installing, and maintaining stainless steel and chromoly piping, structural components, and facility infrastructure for advanced microreactors with an accent on precision welding, technical drawings, and safety standards. Focus on welding pressurized systems, aligning piping around fixed structures, inspecting weld quality, and supporting hands-on construction in challenging environments.

What you will do

  • Weld stainless steel, chromoly piping, structural steel, and facility components.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components using TIG and other welding techniques.
  • Read technical drawings and welding specifications, and measure and align piping systems around fixed structures.
  • Inspect welds against applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain welding and cutting equipment safely.
  • Support fitting, alignment, infrastructure installations, and other mechanical tasks in line with project timelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of TIG welding experience, particularly with pressurized systems under ASME B31.3.
  • At least 1 year of process piping or structural welding experience.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces, at heights, outdoors, and in environments with noise and fumes.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Nice to have

  • Five or more years of welding experience, including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and oxy-acetylene techniques.
  • Familiarity with AWS and ASME welding codes and standards.
  • Experience with ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
  • Experience using laser levels, spirit levels, and inclinometers.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
