Salary: $31.66–$44.94 USD per hour

What you will do
- Weld Haven structures for human spaceflight using Class A aluminum TIG welding.
- Operate mechanized and robotic welding equipment and set up welding equipment and jig tables.
- Fit, form, clean, and fabricate parts and tooling for Haven structures.
- Inspect fabricated parts for geometric acceptance and weld conformance.
- Diagnose weld defects and recommend corrective actions for repairs and process optimization.
- Handle raw materials and finished weldments while collaborating with Engineering on tooling and problem solving.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Class A TIG welding experience.
- 2+ years of fabrication and forming experience.
- Experience with fabrication equipment such as vertical bandsaws and sanding equipment.
- Must qualify as a U.S. person or be eligible for deemed export licensing due to U.S. export control requirements.
- Ability to travel up to 10% and work evenings or weekends when required for mission milestones.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of Class A aerospace welding experience.
- Automated or robotic welding experience, preferably VPPAW.
- Experience working with X-ray technicians and other NDT techniques.
- Ability to read engineering blueprints.
