Welder I (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States. Successful candidates must clear a US government-administered background check for on-site work at a government partner location.

Salary: $22.80–$34.20 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Fabricate, fit, and weld critical piping systems for the Terran R launch site.
• Build process piping, utility systems, and other ground support infrastructure.
• Prepare materials through measuring, cutting, grinding, cleaning, and positioning components.
• Produce high-quality welds in shop and field environments while following weld procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and construction teams to install piping systems safely and accurately.
• Maintain an organized work area and complete assigned work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional welding or fabrication experience.
• Basic knowledge of welding processes, weld fit-up, joint preparation, preheating, and welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, weld symbols, drawings, and work instructions.
• Ability to use common welding and fabrication tools, including welders, grinders, drills, saws, clamps, levels, and measuring tools.
• Ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs. and work in an active industrial or fabrication environment.
• Ability to pass a US government-administered background check for onsite work at the Cape Canaveral location.

Nice to have

• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other common materials.
• Structural welding, pipe welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience reading detailed fabrication drawings, weld maps, or weld procedures.
• Welding certifications or progress toward AWS, ASME, or other applicable qualifications.
• Experience in aerospace, power generation, shipbuilding, manufacturing, construction, field commissioning, or launch site operations.
