Sr Accountant, General Ledger

Location: Remote within the United States; East Coast preferred

Salary: $76,374.90–$120,017.70 per year, plus eligibility for an annual incentive plan

What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, accruals, allocations, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Manage or support accounting areas including cash, fixed assets, payroll, accounts payable, employee expenses, taxes, and intercompany accounting.
• Support procure-to-pay, travel and expense, payroll, fixed asset, and cash reconciliation processes.
• Participate in finance system implementations and enhancements, including testing, issue resolution, documentation, and process design.
• Partner with FP&A and other stakeholders to ensure transactions are complete, correctly classified, and recorded in the proper period.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate accounting activities using data analysis and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Four or more years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on general ledger and month-end close responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience preparing journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Experience with ERP and financial systems, plus strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to independently investigate accounting and system issues and collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, Payroll, Tax, and other partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, including fixed asset functionality.
• Experience in a technology, software, SaaS, or other fast-paced business environment.
• Familiarity with procure-to-pay and travel and expense processes.
• Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting.
