Billing Analyst (SaaS)

Location: US Remote; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States

Salary: $64,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Execute monthly billing processes, including preparing, reviewing, and issuing invoices according to contracts and billing schedules.
• Review contracts and translate billing terms into system configurations and invoicing actions.
• Reconcile billing data, investigate usage, pricing, and contract variances, and document findings.
• Maintain subscription and milestone billing schedules and validate reseller and third-party billing files.
• Resolve billing issues, credit memos, customer inquiries, and invoice disputes in collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation, support billing reporting, and suggest process and data-quality improvements.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related finance operations, preferably with contract-based or subscription billing.
• Basic understanding of billing processes and accounts receivable principles.
• Experience reviewing contracts and translating terms into billing actions.
• Proficiency with ERP or billing systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail, data validation, reconciliation, communication, and adherence to internal controls.
• Experience using automation or AI tools to improve financial processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS or subscription-based billing models.
• Familiarity with revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Exposure to reseller or third-party billing, audits, or compliance activities.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including data organization and basic formulas.
