Location: Houston, Texas, United States; full-time on-site at the manufacturing facility

What you will do

  • Own the facility's Environmental, Health, Safety & Security function and maintain written HSE programs under OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Lead safety programs for high-voltage electrical testing, arc flash, lockout/tagout, overhead cranes, rigging, hot work, PPE, and regulated fluid handling.
  • Conduct hazard analyses, inspections, audits, incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions.
  • Manage environmental permits, inspections, reporting, waste streams, spill response, and industrial hygiene monitoring.
  • Develop training programs, maintain records, and build accountability for safety standards across plant leadership, supervisors, employees, and contractors.
  • Manage physical security, access control, visitor and contractor procedures, emergency action plans, drills, and coordination with emergency services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or an industrial environment, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry standards, including electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and crane or material-handling requirements.
  • Experience managing environmental compliance programs and developing or leading physical security programs.
  • Strong incident investigation, root-cause analysis, corrective action, communication, and cross-functional accountability skills.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Houston, with regular presence on the production floor, testing areas, warehouse, and yard.

Nice to have

  • Experience with electrical equipment manufacturing, testing, transformers, or dielectric fluid handling.
  • CSP, ASP, or a similar safety certification.
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification and NFPA 70E qualified electrical worker training.
  • Experience administering access control or CCTV systems, or prior security management experience.
