Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Tucson, Arizona, USA; in-office or hybrid with one day remote if approved by the supervisor

What you will do

• Develop business opportunities, prepare geotechnical proposals, and compile RFQ/RFP documentation.
• Respond to technical questions during pre-bidding and bidding phases.
• Prepare, manage, and oversee geotechnical projects and evaluation reports.
• Work with clients and project stakeholders to support successful project completion.
• Review engineering work products, provide technical direction, and sign geotechnical proposals and reports.
• Mentor and train junior engineering staff while providing technical leadership.

Requirements

• Arizona Professional Engineer license required.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering required; an M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis is preferred.
• 10+ years of geotechnical industry experience.
• Strong background in geotechnical engineering, construction, and earthwork activities.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, leadership, problem-solving, and deadline-management skills.
• Experience maintaining successful client relationships and delivering client service.

Nice to have

• Geophysical survey experience.
• M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis.
