Principal - Coastal Restoration

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Louisiana, Baton Rouge, San Diego, Sacramento, and Los Angeles.

What you will do

• Provide senior technical direction for coastal restoration project design, planning, and execution.
• Integrate coastal restoration expertise across environmental, engineering, and regulatory service lines.
• Review and approve reports, plans, regulatory submissions, expert reports, rebuttal documents, and technical memoranda.
• Lead ecological technical work and present findings to legal, regulatory, and non-technical audiences.
• Shape service strategy, market positioning, partnerships, proposals, scopes, and client presentations.
• Mentor technical staff and contribute to strategic hiring, succession planning, and organizational development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, hydrology, geology, coastal science, environmental science, ecology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting and A/E/C, with a focus on coastal restoration.
• Experience serving as a technical expert on environmental and coastal restoration projects.
• Professionalism, integrity, strong ethics, and commitment to environmental sustainability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus other business software.
