Fleet Service and Maintenance Technician (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, USA; shift-based, full-time role

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, plus a competitive equity package

What you will do

• Perform scheduled servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance for the autonomous vehicle fleet.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using OEM documentation and advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare vehicles for demonstrations and public-facing use by ensuring cleanliness, reliability, and functionality.
• Follow workshop safety practices, risk assessments, and applicable compliance requirements.
• Record faults, repairs, actions taken, and parts used in digital maintenance systems.
• Collaborate with drivers, engineers, operations staff, and fleet service leadership to resolve issues and improve fleet performance.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in automotive servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Proven experience as a vehicle technician in an automotive servicing or fleet environment.
• Strong diagnostic skills with OEM or third-party diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with mechanical and bodywork repairs using OEM repair manuals.
• Computer skills for tracking and recording maintenance tasks, including Word and Excel.
• Valid US driving license required.

Nice to have

• Experience with vehicles equipped with ADAS or autonomous technology.
• Understanding of autonomous-vehicle fleet operations and high-uptime environments.
• Interest in emerging mobility technologies and willingness to learn new systems.
