TL;DR
ADAS System Engineer (Automotive): Designing, calibrating, testing, and signing off ADAS features for Scout’s electric vehicle platform with an accent on system architecture, software integration, safety, and vehicle-level compliance. Focus on feasibility studies, simulation, real-world validation, data analysis, and resolving feature issues across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, or Novi, Michigan, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with occasional travel required

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus

hirify.global is developing electrified, digitally enabled pickup trucks and rugged SUVs, including all-electric and range-extender powertrains.

What you will do

  • Define, develop, and manage the electrical and electronic architecture of Scout ADAS features.
  • Design, calibrate, test, and sign off ADAS features for the electric vehicle platform.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, software developers, data scientists, validation engineers, and UI/UX specialists to define requirements and integrate features.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, prototyping, system-level testing, validation, and verification.
  • Analyze real-world test data and ensure ADAS performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Act as the point of contact for ADAS features and lead issue tracking and resolution planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or software engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years developing ADAS features, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with ADAS calibration, integration, or validation.
  • Familiarity with CAN, LIN, and Ethernet protocols and tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, analyze data, and drive results across extended teams.
  • Ability to work in the Charlotte or Novi office 4–5 days per week and travel for company events when required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of ISO 26262, SAE J3016, and FMVSS regulations.
  • Experience with FMEA and FMEDA safety analyses.
  • Previous Volkswagen Group experience, especially in ADAS or automated driving programs.
  • Fluency in German.
