Go Backend Engineer (Go)

What you will do

• Contribute to the technical roadmap of an internal developer platform and promote Go best practices, open standards, and strong developer experience.
• Develop, scale, and maintain high-performance concurrent Go microservices and platform features for CI/CD, monorepos, feature flags, experimentation, and observability.
• Build internal Go tools and gRPC/REST APIs that improve developer productivity and support standard development and deployment workflows.
• Partner with engineering stakeholders to improve system reliability, scalability, and quality across the platform ecosystem.
• Design automated Go systems for operational efficiency, including AI-driven workflows and their supporting infrastructure.
• Establish standards for reliability, performance tuning, profiling, benchmarking, monitoring, SLAs, and SLOs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer, with deep hands-on Go experience in large-scale production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Go idioms, goroutines, channels, memory management, Go modules, pprof, testing frameworks, and standard tooling.
• Experience operating large-scale Go services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native applications, Docker, and Kubernetes architecture.
• Ability to influence technical decisions, lead complex projects, solve problems analytically, and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale platform components such as CI/CD pipelines, Backstage, Istio, or Envoy.
• Experience with Go-based cloud-native projects or extending Kubernetes with CRDs and operators.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
