Golang Developer (Kubernetes)

Location: 100% remote within the Continental United States

Salary: $100K–$150K per annum, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement performant backend services and gRPC/REST APIs in Go.
• Build cloud-native applications, CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators.
• Develop concurrency, reconciliation, observability, security, logging, metrics, and tracing capabilities for production systems.
• Integrate services with Kafka, NATS, PostgreSQL, Redis, and etcd.
• Profile and optimize memory, garbage collection, goroutine behavior, throughput, latency, and resource efficiency.
• Lead code and design reviews, mentor engineers, contribute to shared Go libraries and platform tooling, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of professional software engineering experience with significant experience in Go.
• Strong knowledge of Go concurrency patterns, distributed systems, and networking fundamentals.
• Production experience with gRPC and/or REST APIs, Kubernetes-native development, and relational and key-value data stores.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container-based deployment, debugging, and performance engineering.
• Must work directly as a full-time W2 employee in the Continental United States; C2C, 1099, and third-party arrangements are not accepted.

Nice to have

• Open-source contributions to Go projects and experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers.
• Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, low-level systems programming, WASM, TinyGo, or embedded systems.
• Experience with security-sensitive Go projects, cryptography, or authentication.
