Senior HRIS Analyst (Workday)

Location: Remote - United States. Regular meetings are expected from 6 AM to 9 AM Pacific Time, with occasional earlier or late-evening meetings. Occasional travel to Finland once or twice a year is expected. Applicants residing in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, or Wisconsin are not eligible.

Salary: $117,300–$169,000 annually, depending on US region, location, skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Configure, test, and deploy Workday HCM business processes, including hiring, job changes, compensation, terminations, absence, and performance.
• Optimize Workday and other people systems by simplifying workflows, automating processes, and improving configuration.
• Design intuitive employee and manager self-service workflows, forms, notifications, and related user experiences.
• Maintain Workday security groups, domain and business process policies, role-based access, and data governance.
• Build test scripts, manage regression testing for biannual releases, and coordinate UAT with HR and business stakeholders.
• Develop reports, calculated fields, dashboards, documentation, and training materials while supporting EIBs, Core Connectors, and third-party integrations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM administration and configuration experience, including business process framework, calculated fields, and condition rules.
• Experience independently configuring, testing, and deploying changes across sandbox, preview, and production tenants using change management practices.
• Strong understanding of the Workday security model and experience auditing and remediating access.
• Experience supporting Workday releases, regression testing, and UAT coordination.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical configuration to non-technical stakeholders.
• Availability for regular 6 AM–9 AM Pacific meetings and occasional earlier or late-evening Pacific meetings.

Nice to have

• Workday Pro certifications in HCM, Core Compensation, Absence, Reporting, or similar areas.
• Experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, or other integration tools.
• Experience with Workday custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards, or Workday Prism.
• Experience supporting global or multi-country Workday tenants.
• Experience with a greenfield Workday implementation or major HRIS migration.
