Senior Revenue Accountant

Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area, with two days in the office each week; remote locations listed include California and Colorado, United States.

Salary: $109,987–$131,989.50 or $113,987–$136,789.50 USD annually.

What you will do

• Execute monthly close activities in NetSuite, including journal entries, reconciliations, analytics, and reporting under ASC 606.
• Review closed sales contracts and assess standard and non-standard revenue arrangements for accurate revenue recognition.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and maintain audit-ready documentation for judgmental revenue positions.
• Reconcile revenue systems, investigate variances, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Assist with the design, data integration, and testing of NetSuite ARM and other revenue system enhancements.
• Support SOX controls, internal and external audits, process documentation, and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of combined revenue accounting and/or public accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and experience with high-growth SaaS companies.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with large datasets and multiple data sources.
• Meticulous organization, strong ownership, and the ability to deliver accurate work under deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work in the hybrid San Francisco Bay Area model and attend the office two days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite ARM, Salesforce, Rocketlane, Stripe, or SQL.
• Experience with subscription, usage-based, and professional services revenue recognition.
• Experience with ERP implementations, mergers, and process improvement initiatives.
• CPA license.
