Senior Revenue Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; hybrid work with regular office presence

Salary: $90,000–$140,000 per year, with potential restricted stock units, sign-on bonus, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Execute revenue recognition from contract closeout through financial statement disclosure.
• Manage the revenue and cost of revenue month-end close, including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, policy compliance, and reporting.
• Analyze complex revenue transactions and document accounting conclusions in technical memos.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to complete audits efficiently.
• Identify and implement improvements to revenue processes, systems, reporting, and analysis.
• Partner with Finance and Sales leadership on revenue forecasting.

Requirements

• Experience applying ASC 606 to enterprise software-as-a-service revenue.
• 3+ years of experience at a large public accounting firm and/or a small to mid-size enterprise software company.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and/or other revenue recognition accounting systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and operational skills.

Nice to have

• CPA or ACCA/ACA qualification.
