Revenue Accounting Manager (SaaS)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; hybrid workplace

Salary: $90,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential restricted stock units, sign-on bonus, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Manage revenue recognition from contract negotiation through financial statement disclosure.
• Partner with Legal, Sales, Finance, and Business Development to structure contracts and explain accounting impacts.
• Analyze complex revenue transactions and document accounting conclusions in technical memos.
• Lead revenue and cost-of-revenue month-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and training on revenue accounting to internal stakeholders.
• Support auditors, revenue forecasting, and continuous improvement of revenue systems and processes.

Requirements

• Extensive experience applying ASC 606 to enterprise software-as-a-service.
• 5+ years of experience in a large public accounting firm and/or a small to mid-size enterprise software company.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and/or other revenue recognition accounting systems.

Nice to have

• CPA or ACCA/ACA qualification.
