Service Technician, Service Operations, Labs - DoorDash Dot (Robotics)

Location: On-site with 100% in-office presence in Sunnyvale, CA; training in Dublin, CA, followed by a permanent AM or PM shift with weekend coverage.

Salary: $28.40–$41.80 USD per hour

What you will do

• Service and maintain robotic systems, electric bicycles, and support vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair faults in robotic platforms, modular components, electric bicycle drivetrains, electrical systems, control units, and battery packs.
• Use technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts to guide repairs.
• Assist senior and lead technicians with complex faults and progressively take on more advanced repairs.
• Document diagnostic steps, repairs, and component failures in service management systems.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and battery-care procedures to reduce downtime and maintain fleet readiness.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of service work experience.
• Curiosity and interest in mechanical work and repair.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Prior vehicle, bicycle, fleet, electric or autonomous vehicle, robotics, or aircraft service experience is advantageous.
• Experience with JIRA, MaintainX, or similar service tools is advantageous.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and successful completion of an MVR check required.
