Service Technician, Service Operations, Labs - DoorDash Dot (Robotics)

Location: On-site with 100% in-office presence in Fremont, San Jose, or Sunnyvale, California. Training takes place in Fremont, California, followed by an AM or PM shift with weekend coverage.

Salary: $28.40–$41.80 USD per hour

What you will do

• Perform service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on robotic systems and electric bicycles.
• Repair faults in robotic platforms, modular components, electric bicycle drivetrains, support vehicles, electrical systems, control units, and battery packs.
• Assist senior and lead technicians with complex faults and develop advanced diagnostic skills.
• Use technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts to guide repairs.
• Document diagnostic steps, repairs, and component failures in the service management system.
• Follow preventive maintenance procedures to reduce downtime and maintain fleet readiness.

Requirements

• 1+ year of service work experience.
• Curiosity and interest in mechanical work and repair.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and successful completion of an MVR check required.
• Availability for a permanent AM or PM shift with weekend coverage after training.

Nice to have

• Experience servicing vehicles, bicycles, fleets, electric or autonomous vehicles, robotics, or aircraft.
• Experience with JIRA, MaintainX, or other service tools and systems.
