General Accountant (AI Software): Supporting accounts payable, travel and expense, cash management, prepaids, accruals, month-end close, and reconciliations in a scaling AI software environment with an accent on ERP systems, financial controls, and operational accuracy. Focus on managing bank and liability reconciliations, preparing journal entries, maintaining vendor records, and identifying automation opportunities across accounting operations.

What you will do
- Support accounts payable, including invoice entry, approval workflows, vendor payments, and vendor record maintenance.
- Administer travel and expense activities in Navan and reconcile related liability accounts in ERP systems.
- Manage cash activity, including bank statement uploads, cash matching, and bank reconciliations.
- Support month-end close through journal entries and account reconciliations for accounts payable and cash.
- Partner with Engineering, Sales, FP&A, and People Ops to ensure accurate expense classification and timely invoice processing.
- Support cash forecasting, audits, compliance initiatives, internal controls, and accounting automation improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of general accounting experience, preferably in software or technology.
- Experience with ERP and procure-to-pay systems, such as NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Campfire, Rillet, Bill.com, or Ramp.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF, plus comfort with cloud-based financial tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with multi-entity or international operations.
- CPA qualification or progress toward CPA.
- Experience with financial automation, ERP optimization, SaaS, balance sheet and income statement flux analysis, or T&E systems such as Navan, Expensify, or Concur.
