Test Engineer (Silicon Photonics)

Location: Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, United States

Annual base salary: USD 109,700–175,500, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Co-develop automated production test systems with product developers and manufacturing test engineers.
• Develop optimized hardware configurations for product compliance testing and defect detection.
• Build efficient test scripts, data acquisition modules, and GUI interfaces.
• Support product characterization, design validation, and production yield improvement.
• Extend existing testing platforms with new capabilities using a structured approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science with 8+ years of relevant industry experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in optical device testing.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and C#, including multithreaded software and GUI development.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Firmware or microcoding experience.
• Experience with motion control and vision systems.
• Experience with relational database interfaces such as Oracle.
• Experience with statistical analysis, JMP software, and process control.
