TL;DR
Associate Analyst, Transmission (NERC/ISO-NE/NPCC): Coordinating regulatory filings, compliance reviews, event analysis, and reporting for electric transmission operations with an accent on reliability standards, regulatory documentation, and cross-functional SME coordination. Focus on conducting self-assessments, evaluating internal controls, maintaining compliance records in Archer, and supporting responses to regulators.

Location: Hybrid in Westwood, MA; Berlin, CT; or Hooksett, NH. Employees must work at least three days per week in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and must be able to work up to five days in the office when required. Travel between MA, CT, and NH and emergency restoration assignments may be required.

Annual salary: $71,610–$79,570, with potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

  • Plan, prepare, review, and coordinate NERC, NPCC, and ISO-NE regulatory filings and post-filing responses.
  • Verify compliance with engineering, testing, and maintenance standards using records provided by subject-matter experts.
  • Assign and follow up on SME tasks in Archer and maintain current records of applicable rules and regulations.
  • Prepare NERC Event Analysis reports and coordinate self-assessments, reportability determinations, and internal control evaluations.
  • Provide analytical support to the Manager of Reliability Compliance and prepare information and presentations for management, regulators, and other audiences.
  • Develop compliance training, including CIP-related training, and build working relationships across operations, planning, engineering, and SME groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Zero to three years of related experience for the associate level.
  • Database management skills and proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical reasoning, problem-solving, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work emergency restoration assignments and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as needed.
  • Visa or immigration sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring sponsorship to start employment will not be considered.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the utility industry, especially electric transmission.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting.
  • Understanding of electrical power engineering principles.
