Manager, Financial Reporting (Biotechnology)

What you will do

• Lead the preparation, review, and timely filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, Section 16 filings, and other disclosures.
• Maintain SEC reporting schedules, disclosure checklists, reporting calendars, and XBRL tagging reviews.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda and research complex accounting issues, new standards, and SEC requirements under U.S. GAAP.
• Coordinate information gathering and review processes with finance, legal, investor relations, and external auditors.
• Support quarterly earnings materials, investor reporting, annual audits, quarterly reviews, board reporting, and management presentations.
• Support SOX compliance and improve financial reporting processes, accuracy, efficiency, and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, including 3–5 years of direct SEC reporting experience.
• Big Four public accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, public company reporting, and technical accounting memoranda.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, SEC reporting tools proficiency, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Nice to have

• Life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience.
• Experience with equity accounting, stock compensation, SEC reporting software, ERP systems, SOX compliance, and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
