Ingredient Technician Trainee

Location: Boardman, Oregon, USA (West Plant); onsite production environment

Pay rate: $26.35 per hour

What you will do

• Monitor and adjust batter, condiment, sugar mix, hopper, and ingredient handling systems.
• Operate, assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot batter and ingredient mixing equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, including batter PC, allergen, non-GMO, and specialty cleanups.
• Operate lift trucks, inspect equipment, move and stack pallets, and load and unload materials.
• Manage ingredient and dry supply inventory using manifests, tickets, forms, and computer applications including Word and Excel.
• Communicate equipment failures, inventory issues, and production problems to leads and supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or experience in sanitation, processing operations, or lift truck operation.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English using simple instructions, forms, and workplace discussions.
• Ability to troubleshoot, make decisions, follow detailed instructions, and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance and stand, walk, climb stairs, and work on concrete floors throughout the day.
• Ability to work in hot, humid, dusty, noisy, wet, and vibrating conditions and handle chemicals safely.
• Ability to use military time, complete accurate paperwork, and follow lift truck, battery charging, and lockout-tagout procedures.

Nice to have

• Food processing experience.
• At least three months of experience using an inventory system.
