Process Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Wheeling, Illinois, USA. Onsite, full-time position working the 6:00 PM–6:30 AM night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Salary: $30.83 per hour plus a $1.35 per hour shift differential.

hirify.global develops consumer brands and operates the Wheeling plant packaging lines supplied by the Process Department.

What you will do

• Operate, sanitize, maintain, and troubleshoot process department equipment and systems.
• Produce and change over products for packaging lines while meeting product specifications.
• Perform sanitation activities according to GMP and plant guidelines.
• Complete process, sanitation, laboratory, environmental, and data-entry documentation accurately.
• Resolve non-routine operational and quality issues and perform required maintenance.
• Train other Process Technicians and provide feedback.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with process operations, batching, mixing, or blending.
• Ability to perform basic and complex mathematical computations, including percentage-based batch-size calculations.
• Completion of core competencies and required skills training identified on the Technology Matrix.
• Working knowledge of safety practices, plant guidelines, quality standards, and food safety requirements.
