Buyer Planner

What you will do

• Maintain delivery schedules, due dates, purchase orders, and supplier schedules in MRP systems.
• Analyze material requirements, inventory availability, forecasts, sales orders, and production inputs to support customer demand.
• Schedule production and provide lead-time information to Customer Service, sales teams, and customers.
• Coordinate with suppliers, factories, Materials Management, Category Management, and Logistics teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Support supplier demand visibility, supplier training, cost-savings initiatives, and negotiation activities.
• Develop and monitor reporting processes that improve supply chain performance, on-time delivery, and inventory investment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in production planning, materials planning, or MRP is required; QAD experience is preferred.
• One year of scheduling and planning experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• BS or BA degree from an accredited four-year college is required.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows programs and Excel.
• Experience with integrated manufacturing software systems and the ability to analyze data, define problems, and draw valid conclusions.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• QAD experience.
• Willingness and capability to complete elements of CPIM APICS within 18 months of accepting the position.
