Staff Software Engineer (AI/Cloud)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work model.

Salary: $170,000–$188,000 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, highly available platform components, services, and RESTful APIs.
• Architect and implement core infrastructure for the Eclipse family of products and reusable microservice components.
• Apply AI-driven development practices, including agentic coding tools and AI-augmented code review.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to define requirements and deliver platform solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, code reviews, technical-roadmap planning, and best-practice adoption.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, system limitations, and production issues using observability tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of software development experience building and scaling complex distributed systems.
• Experience with B2B enterprise SaaS platforms, multi-tenant systems, and cloud-native applications.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization integrations, including OAuth and OIDC.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Fleet GitOps, service mesh, Docker, and a public cloud provider; AWS is preferred.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, with C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or Go experience preferred, plus strong production debugging and communication skills.
