What you will do

• Own architecture and evolution of the core execution engine behind AI agents
• Lead design of systems coordinating complex reasoning and action flows at scale
• Drive reliability, testing, and observability standards across orchestration stack
• Create frameworks for safe, fast iteration on agent behavior
• Mentor senior engineers and grow technical culture

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in San Francisco for onsite work
• 8+ years engineering experience with technical leadership
• Proficiency in Python or Typescript and asynchronous programming
• Expertise in distributed systems, concurrency, or large-scale real-time platforms
• Ability to define long-term architecture and lead complex projects
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising technical standards

Nice to have

• Experience designing runtimes, execution engines, or agent frameworks
• Experience with model-driven applications or complex orchestration logic
• Experience with evaluation or experimentation systems
• Experience influencing engineering standards across teams
