Senior Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Location: Flexible across Ohio offices with a hybrid work arrangement; listed location is Mentor, Ohio

Salary: $110,000 starting salary per year; final compensation depends on qualifications, experience, and licensing status.

What you will do

• Lead planning and design for water, wastewater, treatment, distribution, and collection system projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering and technical staff.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and CAD partners to deliver integrated designs.
• Work with regulatory agencies and manage permitting requirements.
• Support proposals, client pursuits, and relationships with municipal and private-sector clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of water/wastewater design and project leadership experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio required.
• Experience with municipal and/or private clients.
• Knowledge of state and federal funding programs and project financing.
• Strong understanding of permitting, regulatory requirements, team leadership, and priority management.
