Salary: $113,000 annually

What you will do

  • Assist with implementing operating policies and executing the transportation operating plan.
  • Supervise TY&E employees and plan daily train and switching operations.
  • Conduct operational tests and safety meetings.
  • Investigate accidents and injuries and support a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor and control operating costs while maintaining efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to equal employment policies, safety rules, operating rules, schedule agreements, and government regulations.

Requirements

  • Must currently be certified as a BNSF First Line Supervisor.
  • Working knowledge of operating rules and schedule agreements applicable to TY&E crafts.
  • Strong knowledge of day-to-day railroad operations and practices.
  • Leadership, organizational, problem-solving, self-direction, and work ethic.
  • Strong knowledge of the TSS Xpress system.
  • Availability for shift, holiday, and weekend work.

Nice to have

  • Prior terminal or road operations experience.
  • Designated Supervisor Locomotive Engineer certification.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FRA, and EEO regulations.
