Maintenance Technician

Location: Elizabethtown, NC, United States; onsite in a manufacturing environment

Salary: $21–$39 per hour

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain three-phase electrical systems and industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Install, repair, and replace motors, contactors, relays, breakers, sensors, switches, transformers, and related components.
• Diagnose motor controls, variable-frequency drives, control panels, and production equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Complete mechanical repairs on bearings, belts, chains, conveyors, pumps, fans, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic equipment.
• Support equipment installations, facility repairs, continuous-improvement projects, and maintenance-area organization.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial three-phase electrical systems.
• Ability to safely use a multimeter and other electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and mechanical drawings.
• Working knowledge of industrial motors, motor controls, electrical panels, relays, contactors, sensors, and variable-frequency drives.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and a safety mindset covering lockout/tagout, electrical hazards, machine guarding, and personal protective equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or mechatronics is preferred.

Nice to have

• Welding and metal-fabrication experience.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience operating forklifts, aerial lifts, hoists, or other industrial equipment.
• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility.
