Senior Web Developer (WordPress)

Location: Holmdel, New Jersey, United States; hybrid work schedule

Base salary: $120,000–$125,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own day-to-day development, maintenance, performance, security, and uptime for the WordPress website, subdomains, and related web properties.
• Develop custom WordPress themes, plugins, pages, layouts, and functionality using Beaver Builder, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build and maintain Node.js server-side logic, APIs, and integrations with internal tools, CRM, and marketing systems.
• Monitor site speed, SEO health, accessibility, and technical performance, proactively resolving issues.
• Partner with Marketing, Design, and Demand Generation on landing pages, campaigns, A/B tests, conversion optimization, and responsive front-end implementation.
• Evaluate future CMS and platform changes, recommend modern frameworks, and document architecture and technical decisions.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional web development experience with significant hands-on WordPress experience.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on Node.js experience for back-end logic, APIs, or build tooling.
• Deep WordPress and PHP expertise, including custom themes, plugins, ACF, and hooks/filters.
• Experience owning a production website from requirements through deployment with minimal oversight.
• Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, code review, web performance, on-page SEO, WCAG accessibility, and cross-browser development.

Nice to have

• Experience in marketing or B2B SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with Webflow, Sanity, Contentful, or other CMS platforms.
• Strong proficiency with React or similar modern front-end frameworks.
